Top right hand photograph (PA1-f-009-26-215) shows the beach settlemrnt of Manawatu Heads on the north bank of the Manawatu River near it's mouth - the former site Wharangi Kianga. Photographed 24-1-1932.

Bottom left photograph (PA1-f-009-26-216) shows a carved bailer and a blackstone adze. Both from the Horowhenua district. Photographed 29-11-1931.

Centre left photograph (PA1-f-009-26-217) shows the remains of an old canoe burried in sand on the Rangitikei beach. Photographed 7-2-1932.
