Manganui a te Ao railway viaduct which crosses the Manganui a te Ao River on the North Island Main Trunk Line. A smaller road bridge is visible below, possibly across a stream called Sulphur Creek. Photographed by Albert Percy Godber, circa 1921.
Identified from Godber's own index filed in Photographic Archives at TL 6/1/15, in the 1/2 plate sequence, under B. Bridge. Main Trunk. 1921. Sulphur Creek. Box 64.
Identified also from comparison with other images of the Manganui o te Ao Viaduct. Sulphur Creek is not listed in any New Zealand maps or gazettes, but Sulphur Bridge is mentioned on File Print at 385. Railways. Bridges. Manganui-o-te-Ao Viaduct (1/2-000199-G), with inscription by the photographer (Price Collection): \"Sulphur Bridge. Main Trunk. 757B\"
