Shows main residence, flagpole, and king's tomb, at Ngaruawahia; known as Newcastle, not Queenstown, in 1860s. Cf. TL. 3/1/1/, 2/11/80. Also shows the junction of the Waikato and Waipa Rivers
Compare a very similar sepia wash sketch, also by an unknown artist, held by Auckland Public Library (Scrapbook relating to Grey (i) GNZ 995.03 G85) entitled Ngaruawahia 18th Nov 1861. Photocopy in Drawings & Prints file prints.
