Description

A group of Armed Constabulary troopers ready to enter the bush, Taranaki, photographed with their dog, probably in the 1870s, by Sharp & Sons of Wanganui. Most of the troopers are wearing blankets as kilts, and the man standing at the extreme right is wearing a korowai (tag cloak). A bugler is standing at the extreme left.
