Front cover shows an illustration of a traction engine. Inside pages contain the day's programme, including a parade through town, setting and balancing competitions, a grand parade, races, threshing, chaff-cutting and pressing demonstrations, and a steerers' competation. Other pages contain advertising for local Gore businesses. The event was sponsored by the combined committee of Gore Pipe Band and Gore & District Piping and Dancing Society. The 31 traction engines, their specifications, age and owners are listed.
