The windmill in the foreground was imported by E W Mills & Co, and arrived on the ship Freeman on 11 November 1898. It was sold to the Kelburne Tram Co. on 29 September 1901. The photographer was an employee of E W Mills & Co., before they amalgamated with Briscoe's to form Briscoe Mills..
