- Description
Shows projecting fossilised bones, numbered, 1-11 vertebrae 12 & 13 ribs, probably of a moa. Above the line of bones Mantell has placed his geologist's hammer and chisel, to give a sense of scale. The area is probably Hakataramea, South Canterbury
