Description

Shows a head and shoulders portrait of a herald, whose "sole occupation is to carry messages between hostile chiefs, to prevent hostile meetings, and to bring about treaties of peace. His person is held sacred under all circumstances". He wears moko, a beard around the jawline, a feather hanging from his ear, and a blanket around his shoulders.
