Description: Cover shows a Middle Eastern scene viewed through an Arabic archway, with camel, palm trees, a dome and buildings and two figures in the foreground. One pours liquid from a waterbag into a bottle. The booklet contains the programme for the opening ceremony for the bazaar. A band performed under the direction of Robert Parker, and children danced under the direction of Mr R P Johnson. Opening night performance was "Village virtue", and following nights featured "A Midsummer night's dream", "A grand eastern pantomime". Stallholders of 10 stalls are listed, and included: Mrs T C Williams, Mrs Barraud, Mrs W F Barraud, Mrs Riddiford, Mrs Levin, Mrs Newman, Mrs Beauchamp, Mrs Heywood, Mrs J H Robertson. The object of the bazaar was to raise funds for the purchase of the church room in Tinakori Road, rented by St Paul's parish since 1878 (having been originally erected on the (then, in 1884) site of the Colonial bank and used for many years as a Scotch Church).
