Description

Shows horn-shaped loudspeakers emitting opposing electioneering promises from opposite sides. One is attached to "The Battle Box", sitting on a podium of Truth; the other is larger and is shaped like the globe of the world. The wording indicates that the subject is the Christchurch East by-election in 1943, eventually won by Mabel Howard. A contrast is made between Labour and the Right.
