Description

An Italian village in the province of Aquila, near the Adriatic Coast, during the second World War. The buildings are shown on a plateau, surrounded by the snowy peaks of the Maiella Range in the Apennines

The original for an illustration opp. p. 176 in 'Poor people, poor us' by John Evelyn Broad. Di Cindra is a small village in the Apennines, east of Rome in the province of Aquila, not far from the Adriatic coast.
