Crane from the Commercial Bank building site, collapsed over Lambton Quay, Wellington, 3 October 1935. The Prudential Assurance building is on the left. Photographer unidentified.
Note on back of file print reads "EP 3/10/35, p10, "A crane collapses.- The large crane used for placing steel reinforcing in place [sic] at the new Commercial bank building, on Lambton Quay, collapsed just before noon today, carrying with it power & electric tram cables. No one was hurt, but traffic was held up on the Quay for some time."
