New Zealand personnel serving with the Royal Air Force, on the most forward Spitfire aerodromes in the Cassino area, have the opportunity of recording messages for broadcast in New Zealand. Mr Archibald Curry, New Zealand Broadcasting Unit, holds the microphone. Photograph taken in Venafro, Italy, on 25 April 1944 by George Robert Bull. From left to right: Alan T. Condon, Cedric Don Young, Andrew George Patterson 'Pat' Newman, Bob Aubrey, Maurice Roy 'Morrie' Cooper, Leighton John Montgomerie, and Archibald Curry.
