Looking up the Rakaia towards the Southern Alps with Mount Gargarus (or more probably Mount Algidus) as the central peak, the valley of the Wilberforce to the right
The artist appears to be mistaken about the identity of the central peak. Mount Algidus lies above the junction of the Wilberforce and Rakaia Rivers. Mount Gargarus is to the north
