Demonstrators on the steps of Parliament House, Wellington, protesting the New Zealand Government's decision to accept the Ambassador-designate of the new Government of Chile. The Ambassador-designate, Sergio Marquez, was to present his credentials to the Governor-General, Sir Denis Blundell, at Government House later that afternoon. A number of the demonstrators are holding signs with messages such as 'Restore democratic rights to Chilean people' and 'End trade with Chilean Junta'.
