This cartoon features Prime Minister Muldoon looking at the latest results from the Montreal Olympics where John Walker and hockey have won gold medals (the Olympics which were boycotted by many African nations because of the All Black tour to South Africa). He is pleased that the results will improve the morale of the country and will keep people's minds off the Budget. It also improved the country's gold reserves
