Description

View from quartz rocks at a high standpoint with two goldminers with swags and tools moving towards the towns. Below lies, 'Hartley or lower town' (now Alexandra) at the junction of the Clutha and Manuherikia Rivers, and in the distance 'Dunstan or upper town' (Clyde)
