Lord Howe swamphen (Porphyrio albus). Two specimens depicted, one specimen is pure white, the other white with blue markings on head, neck, and wings.
The white gallinule, possibly a relation of the pukeko, went extinct within 40 years of Europeans visiting Lord Howe Island, i.e. about 1828.
