Note on back of file print reads "Karori Cemetery Chapel. Built in 1891 as a shelter by the Wellington City Council. Architect - George Wiltshire, city surveyor. 1846-1905. Closed in early 1892 and converted into a chapel. (NB possibly not correct. See WCC Building Index).
Note on back of file print reads "Karori Cemetery, 1896. The Tustin plot (1892) is on the left; Major Atkinson's (Sir Harry) - cross on the right of the chapel; George Bell's cowshed at the centre rear, and Dryden's corner off the picture to the left."
