Shows Elie Bouriaud's house (right) and Waeckerle's timber mill (left) at Akaroa, with a couple walking towards it. The buildings are set among trees with a steep hill behind them. Beneath is a portrait of a bearded man wearing glasses, almost certainly Alfred Wills. The glasses have a distinctive ring shape along the arms
The mill was located on the Grehan Stream. The house still stands on Rue Grehan
