Standing portrait of Trooper William Wallace of Wanganui Yeomanry Cavalry, in uniform, photographed circa 1860s by William James Harding, probably in Harding's Wanganui studio. Shows him standing in front of a balustrade alongside a studio backdrop depicting a room with a bookshelf and a window. He holds a sabre.
Subject may possibly be Stephen Richard Wallace, brother of William. Richard Wallace was killed at Te Ngutu o Te Manu battle in 1868.
