Description: W Neill's bicycle and knapsack next to the junction of the Tauherenikau River and Smith's Creek. The caption reads: The first wheeled vehicle to reach the Tauherenikau on 25th May 1930. This was an official club trip to Tauherenikau Hut which was in the process of construction at the time. Photo shows my bike at the junction of Smiths Creek and Tauherenikau River. PS I still have the bike (in 1969 and 1973). Quantity: 1 b&w original photographic print(s).
