View of Massey House on Lambton Quay in Wellington, nearing completion. A small group of people are mounting the stairs on the roof. Building materials are on the pavement outside the ground floor. The building of S S Williams Company Ltd can be seen next door. Photograph taken in 1957, by an unidentified photographer for the Evening Post.
Note on back of file print reads: "Opened by P. M. 4/Oct/1957. Massey House built jointly by the Meat Producer's Board and Dairy Board. 8 storeys on Lambton Quay and 6 on Terrace cost £320,000. On top is cobalt blue free form Lifthouse. Pub. 3 Oct 1957."
