Seven landscapes, two probably by Isabel Hodgkins, later Field, the rest by her son, Peter Field. One (B-083-018) is a view from Eastbourne towards Wellington heads. B-083-017 has another work on its verso.

Description: Misty landscape, with the suggestion of trees to the left and a broken-down fence with an open gate. 'Please shut gait' is written on the top bar of the gate. Dated from a very similar work in a private collection, signed and dated 1886. The privately-owned work has the title 'The open gate' and shows more detail of the trees to the left than the Library's work.
