"Ua" 177, steam locomotive (4-6-0 type), known as the "Kingston Flyer", hauling a goods train, at Kingston. Photographed by Albert Percy Godber. This image is a film negative taken from the print in Godber Album Vol 109, p 248 (PA1-q-102), with the inscription "Kingston".
"Ua" 177 steam locomotive was built by Sharp Stewart (maker's no. 4505/99), went into service in January 1900, and was written off in March 1937. See "Register of New Zealand Railways steam locomotives, 1863-1971" by W G Lloyd.
Note on back of file print reads "Kingston".
