This series contains futher papers of G L Adkin donated by Mrs J N K Nicholls of Palmerston in 1978 (78-166). It consists of two files of correspondence with various people on place name, geological and anthropological matters, 1936-1959. One file of notes on botanical names and Maori equivalents; index of Tararua palce names, compiled Oct-Nov 1940, with additions. Also notes on the Rangitane tribe by W Moffat and a talk on Otaki by F S Simcox, and a Fairburn-Simcox-Colenso family tree, 1811-1961. Note book recording data on Horowhenua District including artifact finds and notes for his book `Horowhenua' (1948); sketch maps, graphs, diagrams, etc
