A breakfast menu, listing: Breakfast delight [?], fried mullets, smoked snapper, fillets of beef Spanish, mutton chops and potato chips, broiled chicken on toast, pork cutlets [with] fried apples, fried [bananas?] sausage, tripe fried in butter, ... liver bacon and ..., eggs ... fried and boiled .., boiled and mashed potatoes, hot rolls ...toast, currant ... tea, coffee, cocoa.
The menu is handwritten on to a pre-printed sheet showing the head and shoulders of an old bearded sailor appearing on the sail of a ship.
Louisa Jane Spotswood Morice (nee Seddon) was travelling on the 'Alameda' in 1897, to England for Queen Victoria's diamond jubilee celebrations.
Similar menu has "Morice album" pencilled on the verso.
