- Description
Group of five fishermen on the beach at Island Bay, Wellington, taken ca late 1920s by Sydney Charles Smith. Gaetano La Cava is second from left. The men first left, and fourth from left may be from the Criscillo family. The men third and [fifth?] from left are from the Shetland Islands. The men are posed around a pyramid of Vacuum Oil Company and Plume Motor Spirit boxes, with a horse and cart to the right. The men are wearing jerseys and waders, and two are holding fish.
