A study of an individual house on top of a high bank, a zig-zag path on adjacent land to the left, and Otago Harbour in the background. The house has a bay window on the left under a gabled wing of the house, with further sections of the house to the right. The roof of another house is visible at the foot of the section. A steep path, including steps, rises towards the house
Probably shows the Hodgkins' family home, Cranmore Lodge, Roslyn, Dunedin, from 1889.
