Description: Hills on the road to Riversdale, Wairarapa, taken ca 20 February 1979 by Evening Post staff photographer Ross Giblin. Original Evening Post caption reads: "Jutting up sharply to puncture the sky, these hills on the road to Riversdale on the east coast out of Masterton give a glimpse of changing countryside. It is a part of Wairarapa not seen by those who take the popular route to Castlepoint and Riversdale beaches via Masterton. Turn off at Clareville, just out of Carterton, and pass through farmlands, sun-baked rolling hills, peaks behind waving tussock, manuka in bloom and gnarled beech. The road, for the most part flat and sealed, becomes a winding dirt track as it passes through the Ngaumu Forest, then joins the sealed road from Masterton out to Riversdale and Castlepoint." Quantity: 1 b&w original negative(s) individual image on a 35mm strip.
