View from the Railway Wharf, Port Nelson, circa 1879. Shows Ship Inn (later the Tasman Hotel) on the far left; Pier Hotel (behind man on bollard); Albion Hotel (two buildings erected over the water); Albion Store (behind the Hotel); paddle steamer "Wallace" (minus funnel prior to her lengthening) alongside Albion Wharf ; behind Albion Wharf is the Anchor Foundry on Wakefield Quay. Photographer unidentified.
