Description

Scene on Bowen Street, Wellington, photographed in 1927. Lambton Quay is on the left. Looks from a roadside garden, over the road, towards the following businesses: J O Smith's mens wear shop; R H Peak's "The Bon Bon", a confectionery shop selling Neilson's chocolates; and Madam Norton's dressmaking and costume business. An unidentified group stand in the doorway of "The Bon Bon". Photographer unidentified but likely to have been Frank Giles Barker.
