Description

Elevated view overlooking Greymouth during a flood showing the railway station and areas near the waterfront under water. The Royal Hotel can be seen in the middle distance. The barquentine `Rio' is in the far distance berthed alongside the quay. One of a series of photographs taken by James Ring during the flood (in late 1890s or as late as 1905)
