Description

Photograph showing the memorial to Antarctic explorers Robert Falcon Scott, Edward Adrian Wilson, Lawrence Edward Grace Oates, Henry Robertson Bowers, and Edward Ratcliffe Garth Russel Evans. The stone monument is cylindrical in shape with an anchor on top, and carries a marble plaque with words in memory of Scott's expedition party. It is mounted on a hill overlooking Dunedin's lower harbour. Photograph taken in January 1959 by Ronald Fox for the National Publicity Studios.
