Lodge, Nevile Sidney, 1918-1989 :Based on entirely unreliable reports of Trentham influence on today's Olympic Club's Gold Cup harrier race, run to a large extent on the race course - "I wouldn't mind betting he's got a battery under his singlet!" "Making a nice run on the rails isn't he?" "If he wasn't going quite so fast he'd be just like the horses I usually back here." "Perhaps we should make sure he HAS got a broken leg first." 3 October, 1959.

- Description
There are five small vignettes of harriers in the Olympic Club's Gold Cup race. In the first three various observers comment impolitely on performance, in the fourth an official with a gun is stopped from shooting a harrier with a broken leg, and in the last we see the end of the race with the winner whacking himself with a horse whip and the rest of the harriers struggling to stay upright.
In the top left corner is a label reading, 'The Evening Post, October 3rd...1959'.
