Condolence book to the families and communities of the West Coast, from the library community of New Zealand. Book is signed by staff from around the libraries of New Zealand, the National Library of New Zealand and members of the Library and Information Association of New Zealand (LIANZA).

The Pike River Mine disaster was a coal mining accident that began on 19 November 2010 in the Pike River Mine, 46 kilometres (29 mi) northeast of Greymouth, in the West Coast Region of New Zealand's South Island. 29 men lost their lives.
