15 images including: three of young men practising life saving skills in the sea with a rope on a winch; two of girl guides helping at a kindergarten; two of East Street, Ashburton showing the different businesses parked cars and trees opposite; a car broken down in the middle of a ford; flooding on the road to the Harihari Hotel, with cattle being driven along it; a timber camp of five tents in the bush; a house at Kennedy's Bush on Banks Peninsula ca 1920; decorated boats on the Avon River with crowds on the banks watching and Ward & Co factory in the background; Cashel Street ca 1920 busy with trafic and pedestrians; and the Free Lance offices on The Terrace, Wellington.
