Botanical drawings of eucalypt leaves, flowers and seeds, with notes, made by William Swainson during his tree surveys for the governments of Victoria and Tasmania (Australia), 1851-1854.
The sequence is continued by a bound volume at E-165. The group has been allocated the numbers 1 to 404 (by the artist?) in blue pencil on each page (but not every page so numbered has a drawing). There is an additional sequence of numbers given by the artist in graphite on each page, but these are not in order and some numbers repeat themselves.
