Looking down onto the roof of the King homestead in New Plymouth, with rolling hills, cleared land and fences, part of a ploughed field in the foreground and a patch of bush with tree ferns and the flagstaff in the background, beyond other houses. Behind the King house, is a small shed marked as 'my little room' and a larger cottage marked as 'school room'.
