Description: Shows a house at the right with a verandah along the front of one of its sections and with a lawn with five circular or oval flowerbeds in front of it. A treefern is adjacent to the front fence. A fence divides the house and garden from the field on the left, where the grain has been harvested and is standing in sheaves. In the left foreground is a juvenile lancewood. Separated from the house, and to its left behind a hedge is a haystack or a house with thatched roof and walls. There are also several nikau palms in the neighbouring property. The hills in the background are covered with trees, probably native bush, although drawn in rows.
