John Logan Campbell, as an elderly man, standing in front of the statue of himself in Cornwall Park, Auckland.
The fountain and statue were erected at the Manukau Road entrance to Cornwall Park by public subscription in appreciation of the donor's generosity. It was unveiled on 24 May 1906 by Lord Plunket. Sir John died in June 1912.
