Letter book with copies of letters re land issues in the Wairarapa district, letters about the establishment of a school at Papawai, letters about the proceeds from wool sales, and the erection of memorials for rangatira; there are also copies of speeches by Sheehan and Grey that were made at a hui to discuss Maori land
There are also letters about a land dispute in Horowhenua between Ngati Raukawa and Muaupoko
