A page from an illuminated manuscript showing St George in a suit of armour, holding a shield emblazoned with a red cross on a white background, and astride a white horse. The dragon is dead on the ground, having been slain by St George's lance. Behind him is a princess with an animal on a leash (kid or dog), and in the distance a towers and houses.
