Cemetery Road, Lower Hutt, circa 13 May 1947. Looks along a road lined with power poles and crossed by a railway line. A steam train approaches from the left. A man and a dog cross on the right. Photograph taken by an unidentified photographer for the Evening Post.

Caption - Evening Post caption reads: "Dangerous crossing. Many complaints have been made of danger at the railway crossing in Cemetery Road, Lower Hutt, where the view of northbound trains is shut off from traffic approaching from the west by the great mound of soil which has been piled up by bulldozers working in the district. The mound is about 20ft high and extends for some distance close to and parellel to the railway line."
