View from the lower slopes of Mount Cook looking north across Te Aro Flat and towards Thorndon, with clear detail of streets and houses and the harbour, Oriental Bay to the right. There are several ships in the harbour. Tree ferns, cabbage trees and flaxes are in the foreground.
