A waterfall dropping down a bush-clad bank. There is part of the palisade around a Maori pa at the top of the bank

One of three drawings on the same sheet, annotated in pencil 'Sketches on journey of D McLean and Rev. R. Taylor, Oct. 1845'. The two other sketches are 'Our encampment, Novr 29th 1845' and 'A natural logan rock on the road from the Wakatumutumu to the Mokau'.

Other Titles - Operiki

Inscriptions: Recto - beneath image - Title. Also at foot of sheet of three drawings: "Sketches on journey of D. MacLean & Rev. R. Taylor 1845"
