- Description
Shows the Reform Party (New Zealand Political Reform League) led by the Conservative Press (a plump woman in an apron) brandishing an umbrella and leading a donkey on which sits Premier William Massey with broken lance and jam-tin hat. They confer with another 'soldier' in a kerosene-tin hat, one slipper and one shin-pad, carrying a blunderbuss. The party is about to launch an attack on the Liberals during the 1911 elections.
