View of High Street, Lower Hutt, taken from what seems to be the middle of the road. There are cars travelling towards the camera, and a New Zealand Railways Road Motor Service Bus is parked on the opposite side of the road. The bus has the number 94 1929, and is a Thornycroft, Model BC. Taken by Sydney Charles Smith in 1931.
The bus was a 1930-1931 registration. This was the only year that Goverment Registration plates were used.
