- Description
The manuscript appears to have been written as a guide to the coastal journey from Nelson down to South Westland, as it is mainly a description of the country, and a good deal of this was taken from Heaphy's account of his and Brunner's journey, Mar-Aug 1846. Dr Brett considers it is in Brunner's hand. Typescript of notes made on the manuscript in the Library in 1937 are bound with it.
