Group, and cattle, in a field amongst a prize crop of mangolds
- Date

- Description
Unidentified group, and cattle, in a field amongst a prize crop of mangolds, photographed in 1915 by James McAllister, probably in Taranaki. Shows two young fair headed boys in the foreground (twins?), dressed identically, standing alongside a trophy. Standing behind them are three men, an older boy, and the cattle.
A library client has suggested that crops are more likely to be mangold-wurzel (also known as mangel-wurzel) than swedes
